Value-Added Features at a Glance

BVV Pension Management GmbH wanted to convey its appeal as an employer in a clear and emotionally engaging way. To that end, a “Big Picture” was created that clearly brings together values, benefits, mobility, health, and career prospects—for applicants, prospective candidates, and employees alike.

Five distinct categories, the communication of emotional values, and the integration of the new location at Berlin’s Postbahnhof.

Initial situation & challenge:

A multifaceted employer profile
BVV Pension Management GmbH is the central service provider within the BVV Group, one of Germany’s largest pension providers. More than 300 employees, based in the heart of Berlin, are shaping the future of occupational pension plans for the financial sector.
However, the wide variety of benefits, opportunities, and values offered by the employer could not be grasped at a glance. The goal was to create a presentation that would quickly provide guidance, resonate emotionally with applicants, and at the same time help current employees see the opportunities available to them within the company.

The Solution: A Visual Employer Brand for BVV

"The Big Picture" translates the employee benefits offered by BVV Pension Management into a clear, vibrant visual narrative. The five categories—Values, Mobility, Benefits, Health, and Prospects—clearly organize the content and make the wide range of offerings easily accessible. In addition, the illustration showcases the new location at Berlin’s Postbahnhof, thereby bringing together the concrete work environment, corporate culture, and employer promises into a single, cohesive image.

Individual scenes

Flexible work models and modern mobility options make day-to-day work easier at BVV Pension Management. Jobticket, D-Ticket, and bicycle leasing show how employees can customize their commute to be sustainable and convenient.
A man and a woman holding "A, B, C" blocks on a tray, surrounded by terms such as "Knowledge Campus" and "Event Portal."
In addition to the technical challenges involved in managing large amounts of data, it is clear that the way humans handle data is often suboptimal. This is symbolically represented by unstructured balls, which indicate a lack of organization and inefficient use of information.
A woman is doing yoga, a man is riding a bike, and a man and a woman are running on a track.
In the future, the conscious handling of data will create a significantly improved basis for the development and operation of new systems. This data-driven approach will also be favored above all by the mindset of those involved.

This is how the big picture came about

Based on the existing content, employee benefits were compiled, organized, and transformed into a clear visual narrative. Step by step, this evolved into a visual universe that combines information, guidance, and emotion.
1. Workshop & Analysis
First, the various employee benefits were reviewed and grouped by topic. This resulted in five main categories that give *The Big Picture* its clear structure and make it easier to navigate the content.
2. Prototyping & Iteration
Supporting professional development highlights how employees can actively advance their professional and personal growth. Knowledge campuses, communities of practice, and internal learning opportunities create space for exchange, new ideas, and continuous learning.
3. Feedback & Finalization
Health and wellness programs help employees make exercise and relaxation a regular part of their daily work routine. From yoga and company runs to the annual Health Day, these initiatives demonstrate how BVV Pension Management promotes a healthy work environment.

Effect & Results

The HR department uses "The Big Picture" strategically to position BVV Pension Management as an attractive employer. It supports external candidate outreach as well as interviews, job fairs, and internal reminders about current job openings and career development opportunities.

"Taking a closer look at individual aspects"

“What sets us apart as a company and as an employer? Through our ‘Big Picture,’ we convey to potential and new employees—in an emotional way—what it means to be part of BVV Pension Management. While our corporate culture, along with its values and added benefits, is immediately apparent at first glance, the ‘Big Picture’ also invites people to take a closer look at all its individual facets.”
