Initial situation & challenge: Making a complex service landscape understandable

HINSCHE provides comprehensive support for catering projects – from the initial idea to ongoing operations. Consulting, planning, technical implementation, and service are closely interlinked and supported by numerous specialized departments. The challenge was to bring together this diversity of services and participants in a single image. The aim was to visualize the structure of the collaboration and present the entire project process as a coherent customer journey. The focus was on how to visualize the individual disciplines in such a way that it becomes clear how they interlock and accompany customers step by step from the initial consultation to the finished, functional, and coherent catering concept.

The solution: Customer journey as a visual story

The big picture depicts HINSCHE's entire service chain along a clear process flow. All key services are presented in a continuous visual story – from expert advice and needs analysis to planning, manufacturing, and installation, right through to maintenance and service. The planning phase involves developing room, kitchen, and table culture concepts that combine functionality and design. The craftsmanship is carried out in our own workshops – from carpentry to stainless steel, refrigeration, and dispensing technology. The process is complemented by services such as maintenance, repair, and spare parts supply, which ensure smooth operation in the long term. In addition, sustainable offerings such as reusable dishwashing services and rental solutions are integrated into the overall picture. The big picture shows how many specialized building blocks come together to form a coherent process – and how closely consulting, planning, craftsmanship, and service are interlinked at HINSCHE.

This is how the big picture came about

In close cooperation with the HINSCHE Group—working together with owner Ms. Hinsche from the outset—the project was structured, refined, and translated step by step into a visual story. The goal was to create an image that would be technically sound and could be used in everyday life.

1. Joint structuring & clarity of content

In a joint workshop, the relevant project phases, specialist areas, and interfaces were compiled and transferred into a comprehensible overall structure. The focus was on mapping the real everyday project work at HINSCHE—not theoretically, but in a practical way.

2. Visual elaboration & further development

On this basis, an initial visual draft was created that depicts the project process as a coherent customer journey. In several iterations, the image was further developed, supplemented, and refined in terms of content and visuals—always in line with the real processes and special features of the HINSCHE Gastrowelt.

3. Joint fine-tuning & completion

In close consultation, the big picture was finalized and refined until a technically and visually coherent overall picture emerged. The result is an image that provides orientation, explains contexts, and serves as the basis for digital implementation as a click picture.

Effect & Results

The big picture and the click picture based on it help HINSCHE to clearly communicate complex project contexts—internally for orientation and coordination, externally for comprehensible explanations of services. They create a common understanding of processes and make the interaction between the different areas comprehensible at a glance.

"A tool that makes complexity understandable"

"Itis no easy task to present the diversity of the HINSCHE Group, our services, and the contribution of each individual employee in a joint process. The big picture makes this complexity visually tangible and creates a common understanding of processes and interrelationships. For us, it is a valuable tool for communicating services and processes clearly and vividly to both new employees and our customers."
