Initial situation & challenge:

A transformation with far-reaching consequences
Homeier Solution faced the challenge of conveying the complexity and added value of its smart lighting solutions to potential customers in a clear and concise manner. Since Lighting 4.0 technology encompasses numerous features—such as energy savings, remote monitoring, and flexible adaptation to customer needs—the company needed an effective visualization to communicate these benefits quickly and memorably. Especially in sales, it was important to present the key benefits of the innovative lighting solutions at a glance to customers, thereby accelerating decision-making processes.

The solution: A visual story for "Progress"

The Big Picture translates Homeier’s Light 4.0 technology into a comprehensive visual concept that is easy to understand: processes, functions, and benefits are presented in everyday scenarios and linked together. The Big Picture demonstrates how easily smart lighting systems can be implemented in industrial and logistics settings—and highlights their benefits for customers in terms of energy consumption, maintenance, safety, and efficiency. In this way, it helps Homeier communicate complex information more quickly and conduct customer discussions in a more structured manner.

Individual scenes

Excerpt from the Big Picture: Four people are discussing a chart showing lighting costs and "Declining Operating Costs" at a table.
This scene in the Big Picture illustrates how intelligent control systems—such as those that adjust settings based on daylight, occupancy, and time—reduce energy consumption, enabling cost savings of up to 95%. This concise presentation allows the Homeier Solution sales team to quickly and convincingly demonstrate the financial benefits to customers.
Detail from the Big Picture: Two men standing in front of a screen displaying "Live Energy Savings Analysis" and "Monitoring & Maintenance."
This scene demonstrates how remote monitoring and regular energy analyses provide a comprehensive overview of the lighting system’s status. This allows customers to view their savings and the condition of the systems at any time. This visualization helps the sales team explain the long-term benefits of Light 4.0 technology and build confidence in the continuous optimization of the systems.
Detail from the main image: A worker is using a circular saw on a lit surface; "Improved workplace safety" is highlighted.
The Big Picture illustration also shows how standard-compliant lighting can be specifically used to prevent accidents in hazardous areas and ensure optimal visibility. This scene in the Big Picture highlights for the customer the safety benefits that go far beyond those of conventional lighting systems.
This is how the big picture came about
The Big Picture was developed in collaboration with Homeier Solution through a series of in-person workshops and coordination meetings. Together with Managing Director Johannes Homeier and other key contacts, the content was gathered, organized, and visually refined step by step.
1. Workshop & Analysis
In joint workshops with Homeier and Big Pictury, the key topics, features, and benefits of the Licht 4.0 solutions were identified and organized—serving as the foundation for building the Big Picture.
2. Prototyping & Iteration
Based on the analysis, an initial draft of the big picture was created. Over several rounds of iteration, the big picture was refined, expanded, and optimized—with a focus on the interconnections between energy efficiency, monitoring, and security.
3. Feedback & Finalization
After the final review, the Big Picture was illustrated in detail, produced in large-format print, and prepared for use in sales, presentations, and digital applications.

Effect & Results

Today, the Big Picture is used as a key communication tool in Homeier Solution’s sales efforts. It helps make complex technical content easy to understand and provides visual support during customer meetings. Especially when interacting directly with prospective customers, the image provides clarity and makes it easier to explain topics that require further explanation, such as smart control systems, energy efficiency, or remote monitoring. This helps convey the benefits more quickly and supports the decision-making process.

Additional formats & options

A Click Picture featuring zoom-ins and info boxes can be created as an accompanying resource. It allows users to navigate through the content on their own and explore additional links, documents, and information.
In addition, a "cutout package" can be created from individual scenes, allowing the scenes to be used flexibly across various communication channels, such as social media, flyers, or the website.
