Initial situation & challenge: Summarizing the strategy – for all business areas

The KRONE Group combines traditional entrepreneurship with visions for the future — it covers two major business areas: agricultural technology and commercial vehicles.
For the new overall strategic vision, "Strategy 2030," the aim was to communicate the diverse business areas and megatrends in a way that was easy to understand, so that all employees—regardless of their department or role—could recognize their role in the overall structure and identify with the vision. The challenge was to present complex interrelationships, different business areas, and future fields in a clear and appealing way.

The solution: a visual strategy image that provides orientation

Based on the existing strategic content and the initial visuals, a clearly structured, communicative big picture was developed in collaboration with KRONE. It connects the two major business areas of agricultural technology and commercial vehicles with the relevant future fields, services, and trend topics—in a consistent overall strategic picture. The big picture was designed to make strategic connections tangible, strengthen identification, and give teams a common language for future orientation. In addition, a digital and interactive version was created, which can be used to explore details, background information, and examples in context.

Effect & Results

The Strategy 2030 Big Picture provides the KRONE Group with a clear, comprehensible basis for communicating goals, future fields, and divisions across the board. It provides orientation in a complex environment and helps employees to better understand the company's common direction and apply it in their everyday work.
The Big Picture is now omnipresent throughout the KRONE Group. The CEO personally published it via the internal employee app—a clear sign of the importance of Strategy 2030 for all areas. The image is being distributed to managers as a framed version and to all employees as a postcard and "mission sticker." The digital formats – in particular the click picture with zoom-ins and info boxes – complement the printed versions and make the content accessible at any time. The Big Picture also serves as a compact representation of the company in recruiting and job interviews. In strategy workshops, it helps as a mission statement to clearly communicate the strategic corridors and commit teams to a common direction.

"Keeping an eye on the big picture"

"In challenging times, it is crucial that we keep our eyes on the big picture. The big picture should help us understand and appreciate the complexity and direction of our family business. It represents our shared journey, our identity, and our visions for the future—across all business areas, from agricultural technology and commercial vehicles to our services."

"The big picture gives us the opportunity to convey the entire complexity of the group, its values, and strategic fields of action 'at a glance' for the first time. The image illustrates complex relationships in a simple and understandable way, encourages reflection, and is intended to strengthen identification with the company. We will ensure that it unfolds its effect omnipresently throughout the company."
