A big picture as a sales tool

A big picture was created for VRG that clearly and comprehensively presents the MICOS software and its advantages. The aim was to convey the functions, user groups, and added value of the software in an understandable way in order to show customers the added value.

Initial situation & challenge: Explain MICOS as it is intended—simply!

MICOS supports integration assistance institutions with organizational and administrative tasks. The software covers different forms of care, user groups, and administrative areas and is connected to external systems, such as pension insurance providers, via interfaces. By using it, nursing staff and caregivers save time-consuming administrative processes and can concentrate on what is really important: people.
The challenge was to present this diversity in a comprehensible way, summarizing all users and use cases in such a way that they were taken into account in the image. Functions, areas of application, and user roles should be understandable at a glance. However, the extensive use cases should also be shown. At the same time, it was important to make the advantages of consistent, digital collaboration across departments and locations understandable.

The solution: All possible applications clearly presented

The Big Picture consistently translates the MICOS software from the perspective of users. Instead of explaining functions in abstract terms, the image shows how MICOS is actually used in everyday life—alongside people, forms of care, departments, and processes.
The software focuses on a standardized personal profile that can be used to manage affected individuals across all types of care. This is linked to various areas of application such as "housing" or "outpatient care." In addition, the big picture visualizes the administrative and specialist departments involved—from service billing and controlling to personnel and resource planning to IT and administration.
Interfaces to external systems, such as pension insurance providers, and cloud-based working methods are presented in such a way that it is easy to understand how information is collected, processed, and shared—regardless of whether employees are working on the road or in the office. The big picture makes MICOS not only explainable, but also easy to understand in terms of operating logic.

Individual scenes

Two people are sitting at a table, one is holding a tablet, the other is writing on a piece of paper. There is a car in the background.
Easy to use in everyday life
Outpatient caregivers can easily record their services and activities and note any abnormalities immediately. This reduces administrative work, leaving more time for caring for those affected.

Easy linking of systems
The program can be easily linked to extensions, allowing MICOS to also record working hours, for example via POS systems or hand scanners.
A woman sits at a desk in front of a computer with a document icon and a database server in the background.
Straightforward billing
Daily data collection makes it easy to transmit and bill for services. At the same time, services that are still to be provided can be planned accordingly. This reduces errors and saves time.

This is how the big picture came about

First, a project group was formed to clearly formulate its ideas. These ideas were refined at a kick-off meeting, which led to various approaches for elaboration. These were then combined into an overall concept at subsequent meetings. Shortly before completion, the project group sought internal feedback so that the final big picture would take into account input from all departments.
1. Project group & analysis
Before the project started, a project team was formed to collect relevant content. This content was then sorted by relevance during a joint kick-off meeting and recorded on a content board.
2. Prioritizing content
Based on our analysis, an initial draft of the overall picture was created. This draft was then revised, supplemented, and improved in several steps to ensure clarity and completeness.
3. Feedback & Finalization
The final version was presented internally. Direct feedback from all areas resulted in a comprehensive big picture, in which everyone involved could contribute their wishes.

Effect & Results

The Big Picture serves as a visual aid for explaining MICOS and makes the software more accessible to different target groups. This enables sales managers to explain all the advantages of MICOS quickly and easily. The Big Picture provides an overview and promotes understanding of digital, cross-facility collaboration.
